The Truth About Carbs & Deodorant
Eliminating carbs to lose weight is like cutting out deodorant to save money.
It might work… but there’s a more enjoyable way—for you andeveryone around you.
The fitness world is overflowing with wild ideas.
You could eat only meat.
You could fast for 72 hours.
You could get 20,000 steps per day, weigh every almond you eat, and avoid anything that makes your blood sugar go up.

Our Camper Was Overrun By Bugs
This is an example of how most people are messing up their fitness.
They’re running around swinging towels—aka chasing every calorie-burning workout they can find.
More cardio. More sweating. More high-intensity classes that feel like punishment for eating carbs.
But it’s all just swatting bugs. Lots of effort, zero strategy.

Motivation Has Left The Chat
We just hit the 2-month mark of moving into our Airstream for full-time living, working, and traveling.
It’s been pretty dang fantastic so far. But, in the interest of full transparency, we’ve been riding the struggle bus the last week or two.
Nothing’s gone “wrong” per se; we’ve just been in a bit of a slump.
More questioning. More bickering. (What? You and your partner in crime NEVER argue? Right.) And more of that oh-so-fun decision fatigue
It’s called being in a dip.

Deadlift Without Fear
Let’s clear the air, shall we?
Deadlifts have a reputation for being dangerous or “bad for your back” — and it’s time we change that.
Some folks hear the word “deadlift” and immediately picture a meathead in a stringer screaming while cat-back wrenching too much weight off the floor.
CrossFit has done a lot to help dispel this myth, but there’s still a long way to go.
In reality, the deadlift is one of the most useful movements for everyday people like you and me.
Along with the squat, deadlifts are one of the best lifts for total-body strength, longevity, and joint health.

Enter Your “Better Results” Era
Today was a good day, but I’m a little frustrated.
Not at you—for you.
Because if you’re the person I’m thinking of, you’ve been putting in the work. You’ve shown up. Logged the workouts. Stayed pretty darn consistent.
And yet... you’re not significantly stronger. You don’t feel much different. And if we’re being honest, you don’t look that much different either.
You, my friend, are the Frustrated Fitness Fanatic.

Hard Work ≄ Progress
Think about this for a second.
You’re the best driver in the world.
If there were a full cup of coffee on your hood for a thousand miles, you wouldn’t spill a drop.
Your turns? Flawless. Parallel parking? A work of art.
But none of that matters.

Would You Like Fries or Veggies
Sometimes I don’t feel like working out, or making the healthy food choice in front of me.
I tell you that for three reasons:
#1 – To let you know that if you’re like me and sometimes feel the same way, you’re normal. Well, as normal as I am anyway…
#2 – To remind you that even in those “meh” moments of low motivation, you can still do the right thing.
#3 – There will be times when you don’t do the “right thing,” and that’s okay too.

We Can’t Unsee It
Blakley and I have been working out at the wellness center here in Fredericksburg, TX, and I have to say—it’s awesome to see so many people in the gym, putting in work.

Most People Think This, But It’s Dead Wrong
I overheard a conversation at the gym last week that reminded me of a common mistake people make…
Most people trying to get in shape and change their bodies focus on the wrong thing.
They chase an often arbitrary goal weight, cut calories aggressively, do a ton of cardio, and wonder why they don’t feel better—or why their body still doesn’t look the way they hoped.

Stupid simple (and delicious) protein prep
Monday morning. You’re busy. But what’s for dinner?
I know you don’t have time to grill a steak, bake chicken, or cook taco meat every night.
That’s why prepping protein in bulk once or twice a week is a game-changer. It keeps you on track with your goals—and out of the DoorDash app.
One of our go-to meal preps? Buffalo Chicken. It’s quick, delicious, healthy, and easy to clean up.
Here’s how to make it:

Which parts of aging are optional?
As we get older, things naturally change.
We take on more family responsibilities.
We feel the financial squeeze of expensive… well, everything!
We notice new wrinkles, sags, and scraggly grey hairs that pop up overnight.
But some so-called “inevitable” parts of aging? They’re actually optional.

How To Fix “Skinny Fat”
And after three years of doing everything “right,” I looked in the mirror and realized something frustrating:
I was still… skinny.
But not the good kind of lean and muscular. I was skinny fat.

What If The Problem Isn’t You?
What Do You Really Want?
Want to drop 5 pounds in 3 days for your friend’s wedding?
Do a juice detox and enjoy being miserable for 72 hours.
Need to lose 20 pounds before your high school reunion?
Pick a fad diet—any fad diet. Fasting, Keto, Carnivore… and do your best to stick to the rules.
Want to lose weight fast, even if you gain it all back the second life gets busy?

20 Fitness Terms Defined
You ever been in a conversation where you have no clue what’s being said, but you just smile, nod, and pray no one asks for your opinion?
Like when your friend starts talking about their crypto investments:
Them: “Yeah, I’m staking Ethereum on a DeFi platform with yield farming.”
You: “Oh, for sure. Gotta maximize that… uh… blockchain synergy.” 👀

A Supplement Too Good To Be True?
If you’re serious about getting stronger, losing fat, and feeling like a functioning human instead of a caffeinated zombie, you NEED this supplement.
It’s called GTB, and it’s about to revolutionize your progress.
What does GTB do for you?

Is This Fitness Advice Legit?
If drinking apple cider vinegar every morning actually “melted fat,” we’d all have six packs by now.
If 5-minute ab workouts truly gave you a shredded core, dad bods wouldn’t exist.
And if a magic pill could burn fat while you sleep… well, let’s just say the supplement industry wouldn’t be worth billions.
The truth? The fitness world is full of bad advice that sounds good. And for some reason, we keep falling for it.
