The Truth About Carbs & Deodorant

Eliminating carbs to lose weight is like cutting out deodorant to save money.
It might work… but there’s a more enjoyable way—for you andeveryone around you.

The fitness world is overflowing with wild ideas.

You could eat only meat.

You could fast for 72 hours.

You could get 20,000 steps per day, weigh every almond you eat, and avoid anything that makes your blood sugar go up.

And yeah—some of those things might work.

Just like wrapping your debit card in duct tape might help you stop overspending.

But here’s an overlooked, massively important truth:

If what you’re doing makes you miserable, it won’t last.

And if it doesn’t last, it doesn’t matter how well it works for a week or two.

Most people don’t struggle because they’re lazy or unmotivated.
They struggle because they think getting fit has to feel like punishment.
They believe it has to be harder to be effective.

This is the main beef I have with 75 Hard, which I covered in THISInstagram post.

After helping over a thousand people get in shape over the last decade, here’s what we know:
→ Eating balanced meals you enjoy? Works.
→ Lifting weights a few times per week? Works.
→ Walking more? Works.
→ Getting enough sleep? Works.
→ Staying consistent—not perfect? Definitely works.

It’s the unsexy stuff that actually moves the needle.

And even better… That stuff doesn’t make you feel like a social outcast, or leave the gym destroyed every day.

So if you’ve been bouncing from one extreme plan to another, hoping the next “hack” finally sticks…
Take a breath.
Zoom out.

What if the easier, more sustainable approach is exactly what you’ve been looking for?

Think about it.

P.S. - We’ll be training at elevation this week in Alpine Texas of all places. Did you know you could get to almost a mile high in TX? Stop by if you’re in the neighborhood :)
