He Ate McDonald’s 3 Times a Day for 100 Days. And Lost 58 Pounds.

There’s a guy who ate McDonald’s three times a day for 100 days.

How much weight do you think he gained?

He LOST 58 pounds.

I’ll give you a minute to process that.

Go ahead. I’ll wait. 😂

His name is Kevin Maginnis, a 57-year-old guy from Nashville.

For 100 days, he ate McDonald’s for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Not just those apples that somehow never turn brown either.

Big Macs.

Quarter Pounders.

French fries.

Apple fritters.

And somehow, he lost nearly 60 pounds!

There’s One Important Detail

Before you start planning your own 100-day McDonald’s challenge, there’s an important detail I need to share:

He ate half portions.

That was basically the entire strategy.

He ordered what he wanted, ate half of it, and stopped.

No snacks between meals.

Water instead of drinks with calories.

And over the course of 100 days, he went from 238 pounds to 179.5 pounds.

Now, I’m not suggesting you eat McDonald’s three times a day.

I can’t imagine how gross you’d feel…

But there’s a really important lesson here.

You Don't Have to Give Up the Foods You Love

One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is thinking weight loss requires them to become a completely different person who follows a completely different diet that they hate.

“I guess I can't eat pizza anymore.”

“Bread is off limits.”

“I can't have dessert.”

“No more wine.”

“I suppose I'll never eat Mexican food again.”

So they white-knuckle their way through a miserably restrictive diet for three weeks…

…and eventually eat an entire sleeve of Ritz while standing in the pantry.

We’d rather teach a different way.

How to eat the foods you enjoy in amounts that support your goals.

How to build meals that keep you full.

How to get enough protein and fiber.

How to enjoy dinner out without turning it into a three-day cheat weekend.

How to have a cookie without deciding that since you already “messed up,” you might as well eat 10 more to “get it out of your system.”

You Don't Need a Perfect Diet

Losing weight doesn't require perfect eating, my friend.

It requires consistently eating foods that support your goals.

And that's a skill you can learn.

You can lose weight while eating pizza.

You can lose weight while having tacos.

You can lose weight while still enjoying a burger.

You can even eat an apple fritter.

Kevin Maginnis would be proud.

The goal isn't having a perfect diet.

The goal is to build a way of eating that you can actually live with.

That's what we help our nutrition coaching clients do.

Lose Weight Without Giving Up Your Life

Lose the weight without giving up your life in the process.

If you're tired of starting another diet that tells you everything you can't eat, we'd love to help.
