This Makes Getting In Shape Easier

So, we scored some sweet used mountain bikes this week.

Our first test ride was in the neighborhood across the street from where we’re staying.

My bike is a little too big for me, but I’m making it work.

Blakley’s bike… well, it almost killed her.

Not literally, but on that test ride, even the slightest uphill was bringing her to a dead stop.

Honestly, even on flat ground, we almost got passed by an old lady on speed-walk.

Let’s check the gears… looks fine.

Brakes? No issues there.

We swapped bikes, and I found it pretty darn challenging, too.

We went home and cried ourselves to sleep for being so weak.

Yesterday, the plan was to work in the Airstream for a few hours and then set off on a long bike ride down the Greenbelt through Boise, with a pit stop at one of our favorite coffee shops.

Blakley lost sleep the night before, worrying about how much of a struggle the ride would be, and what she’d say to the kids passing her.

We set off, and it was pretty much the same story: struggle bus.

After a few minutes, I had an idea.

Maybe her seat is too low!

We pulled over, raised the seat a good 6”.

All of a sudden, she’s Lance Armstrong, passing every pedal-assisted e-bike on the path. All of that struggle and lost sleep for nothing.

A simple tweak with big results.

Ridin’ The Boise Greenbelt

Are you struggling?

Are you slogging away in the gym in what feels like an uphill battle?

Are you stressing over the fact that you’re trying hard but getting nowhere?

We get it.

It stinks.

Chances are, you don’t need a massive overhaul.

You just need an adjustment that finally makes it click.

You need a plan you enjoy, that makes life easier, and gets you better results.

We’re ready when you are.
