How Does “Online Coaching” Work?

I downloaded an “Online Workout Program” and it wasn’t what I expected.

A few years ago, I dropped $30 on another coach’s workout program just to check it out.

I respect the coach, so I had high hopes.

What I got was a link to a Google Spreadsheet that was impossible to understand or see on my phone, a bunch of exercises I’d never heard of, and no video demos of how to do them.

Truthfully, I looked at it for about 2 minutes and never reopened it.

I do hope I remembered to take it as a business tax deduction…

Here’s how we do things differently.

Let’s say you sign up for our “Custom Coaching” option.

You’ll start by filling out a short questionnaire that helps us learn about your goals, previous workout experience (if any), your injury history, your schedule, and the equipment you’ve got access to.

From there, we’ll get you set up in our app, where you’ll see your first 3 workouts.

Blakley wrote these 3 simple “assessment” workouts so we can see how you move and where your current abilities are.

Remember, we coached people in person for many years, and safe movement quality is a major priority for us.

You’ll see each workout in the app, along with clear instructions and a video demo of Blakley or me showing you exactly what to do.

There’s a video demo of each movement so you never have to guess or go searching for what to do.

When you click on the "Add results” button, you’re able to type your results for each exercise and upload a short form check video right there in the workout.

You can also view your workouts on your computer or tablet.

Once you finish your workout, you hit the “complete” button at the bottom, and celebrate!

Party time!

Then, we get a notification on our end that you worked out.

No, you don’t do your workouts live with us on a zoom meeting 😁

Within 24 hours we review every detail of your workout, giving you feedback that keeps you safe, motivated, and making progress.

Most clients agree that this level of care and attention is the best part of working with us.

Your results from each exercise are saved in the app.

Each week, Blakley writes a fresh set of workouts that we then customize for you based your results last week, and all of the things we learned about you in your questionnaire.

As a “Custom” client you never have to wonder weights to choose, if you’re doing things right, or if you’re making progress.

Oh, and we’re always available to answer any question you think of through the chat feature in the app.

Honestly, what we offer is the exact opposite of downloading a PDF, spreadsheet or asking ChatGPT for a workout program.

In our opinion, personal attention and care will never be replaced by A.I.
