Don’t Start A New Diet or Workout Program Until You Read This
Are you thinking about getting serious about your health and fitness?
Good. The New Year is a great time to recommit.
Let me encourage you, but also give you an important warning.
We’ll get the warning out of the way first.
Whatever you’re thinking about doing to get in shape…
Ask yourself this:
“Am I still going to be doing this a year from now?”
What I mean is, if you’re planning to cut out carbs and sugar starting 1/1…
Are you actually going to keep doing that, or do you already know it’ll be too hard to sustain?
If you’re planning to do an hour of HIIT every other day to whip yourself into shape…
Are your knees or lower back going to shut that down before Valentine’s Day?
Whatever your plan is, make sure you’re ready to be in it for the long haul.
Otherwise, whatever results you get “on the program” will evaporate as soon as you stop.
It sounds obvious, but it’s the reason most resolutions fail.
Ok, the encouraging part…
If you choose a smart, sustainable approach this year—one you enjoy enough to stick with (like Digital Barbell 😄) —you’ll be greatly rewarded.
Especially if you’ve typically gravitated toward the hard-core stuff no one can do consistently.
I’m talking about being rewarded with highly coveted “Newbie Gains.”
That magical 6–12 month window where your physique changes dramatically and your strength seems to improve every single week.
Here’s an example: my client T.C. over the last six months.
I’ve lost count of how many times his friends have noticed the transformation he’s made, and we’re just getting started.
The best part?
He works out at home three times a week with dumbbells, a bench, and some bands in his living room.
That’s it.
Nothing crazy. Nothing hardcore. Nothing unsustainable.
And that’s exactly the point.
Awesome results don’t come from doing the hardest thing you can tolerate for a few weeks.
They come from doing the right thing consistently for months.
That’s what we help you do.
