We Drove to Mars
Greetings from West Texas. A part of the Lone Star State that’s part Mars, and part Utah.
We enjoyed being tourists on Saturday afternoon, as we keep working through the “dip” I mentioned a couple of weeks ago.
Living and working full-time in our Airstream has been… Interesting.
The month leading up to the big move? Now that was chaotic.
We were selling furniture, making donation runs, and I lost track of how many trips we made to our storage unit.
All that, and somehow trying to pack up an entire life into a 27-foot trailer.
There were about a hundred reasons to skip our workouts.
Not enough time. Too much stress. No routine. Pure exhaustion.
But we didn’t.
We made our training a non-negotiable — even if it wasn’t perfect.
Even if it meant a 30-minute lift between Marketplace meetups and coaching our amazing clients online.
Why did we bother?
Because we knew that skipping our workouts would’ve made everything harder.
Working out wasn’t stealing our energy — it was giving us more.
More patience. More focus. More sanity for when the "What are we doing?!" moments hit. 😜
(And trust me, they hit.)
Look, I get it. I was tempted to think, "I'll get back on track when things settle down."
But truthfully?
Training is what helps you get through the crazy seasons.
Working out is what gives you energy for the rest of your life.
When we asked one of our clients why they hired us during a busy season of life, they said:
“I figured that time was going to pass either way. I might as well start now and learn how to stay in shape while life is nuts.”
If you're in one of those seasons right now...
When time is short, and it’s hard to make yourself a priority…
It’s the most important time to start, even if it’s not perfect.
Show up for yourself — even in small ways.
Your future self will be glad you did.
